The executive logistics program has been successfully rolled
out through the second session of the program. Unlike the first session which
had been replaced with a day seminar, the second session fully featured the
contents as they were designed. In the second session, a professor from Yong-Nam University, a CEO of Lim and Co,
port and logistics specialists from Gwangyang city hall, Jeonnam
provincial government, Haewoon Johap, McTrans and a student of Berlage
institute participated. Mr. Lee, a delegation from Korean government,
participated as well and translated. We would like to give many thanks
to all the participants and the guests who joined the opening ceremony
which was held during the boat trip.
According to the program evaluation, the most participants
acclaimed the program contents, the daily excursions and quality of the program
in general. In the final discussion for the program evaluation, they showed
wish to have the program contents expanded with a more week.
Partisans gave the highest rate and special interest to the
terminal operation and the port marketing. They wished the subjects
would have been extended with more hours. Participants actively involved
themselves in the classes by discussing their point of view on the specific
issues. A lot of comparison or benchmark points were also addressed by Mr. Lee,
a delegation from MOMAF department of Korean government. Dutch labor-management
model, specially included in accordance with the situation in Korea, also caught attention
from the participants. The labor-management subject addressed form the history
of labor-management since Wassenaar agreement to the current social
issues that should be resolved with the high priorities.
The third session will be held March in 2004. The tailor made
logistics program will be held instantly on the request from a group
